7 Sri Lankan Tamils took refuge in Dhanushkodi

7 members of the same family from Mannar region of Sri Lanka have come to Dhanushkodi by boat.

Due to the economic crisis in Sri Lanka, many Sri Lankan Tamils fled from there in small boats with their families for fear of danger at sea. They are traveling to Tamil Nadu as refugees.

In this situation, 7 people belonging to the same family came to Dhanushkodi by boat from Mannar area of Sri Lanka at around 5 am today.

Marine police handed over all 7 of them who took shelter as refugees to Mandapam police station. The police are investigating them. After the investigation, it was revealed that the 7 Sri Lankan Tamils were to be accommodated in the Mandapam camp
