In Ranipet district, under the Integrated Child Development Program, Nutrition Month was celebrated last September.It includes anaemia, merits of small grains, cleanliness, consequences of early marriage, village wise,Locally and district wise through pamphlets in schools, colleges, primary health centers and public places.
Awareness is created through campaigning, visiting the homes of beneficiaries and conducting competitions among students in schools and colleges.
Child Development Program Officers from 3 districts namely Thimiri, Arcot and Ranipet (Urban) have created a lot of nutrition awareness.Collector Varamathi presented shields and certificates of appreciation to the Anganwadi workers who created more awareness in the area.
District Revenue Officer Suresh, District Integrated Child Development Program Officer Vasanthi Anandhan and staff members participated in the programme.
