According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in 11 districts including Chennai.
Puducherry, Tamil Nadu due to atmospheric low circulation prevailing over Southwest Bay of Bengal and Sri Lanka. And in Karaikal there is widespread rain in a few places. A few areas in Chennai have been experiencing heavy rain since last night.
Chennai, Thiruvallur, Chengalpattu, Kanchipuram, Cuddalore, Mayiladuthurai, Nagai, Thanjavur, Thiruvarur, Pudukottai, Ramanathapuram, according to the Meteorological Department, it is likely to rain in the next 3 hours in these 11 districts.
Thunderstorms may occur at some places in Puducherry and Karaikal, the Meteorological Department said.
