In this current situation, terrorists in Pulwama district of Kashmir have been closely monitored, and secret information was obtained yesterday by the security forces and Kashmir police engaged in counterterrorism operations. This information led to the intensified investigation by the security forces.
This encounter led to an ongoing exchange of fire between the security forces and the terrorists. Intense clashes took place intermittently for several hours between the two sides.
In the final stages of the confrontation, during the intense gunfight initiated by the security forces, two terrorists belonging to the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militant group were killed.
The chief commander of the LeT, who was a significant figure in the terrorist organization, was among those eliminated. The search operation is continuing in the area where the encounter took place.
