Accordingly, 200 cubic feet of surplus water has been released from Chembarambakkam lake this morning.In 19 sluices of the lake, surplus water is opened through 3 shutters. While 25 cubic feet of water per second is already being released, an additional 175 Cubic feet of water has been opened.
With the release of water from Sembarambakkam Lake, the coastal area including Sirukalathur, Kunradathur, Thirumudivakkam, Tiruneermalai, Adyar, etc. A flood warning has been issued for the people of the coastal areas.
